Vanstyn Constructions had the privilege of delivering a three-part outdoor makeover for the beautiful Ashgrove West Kindergarten, creating safe, covered areas where kids can play and learn, regardless of the weather.
Part One featured a Stratco Gable Roof with custom engineering to match the existing aesthetic, complete with lights, fans, and 100mm insulation for comfort year-round.
Part Two involved the installation of a 50mm insulated Cooldek patio, also equipped with fans and lights to ensure the area stays cool and functional, even during hot Queensland days.
Finally, Part Three saw the construction of a standalone 50mm insulated Cooldek patio, further expanding the protected space for the children to play and stay dry in the rain.
With these covered areas, Vanstyn has ensured that the kids at Ashgrove West Kindergarten are protected from the elements—rain, hail, or shine—allowing them to enjoy the outdoors safely and comfortably.

Tired of the old café umbrellas, the Gorillas Football Club at Hickey Park needed a modern, functional solution to provide better coverage for their café customers. The club didn’t want a traditional steel rafter roof, opting instead for something sleek, stylish, and effective.

Vanstyn Constructions was approached by Laticrete to create a versatile, modern outdoor space where staff could enjoy lunch breaks and hold meetings. Our solution was a sleek and functional 6.3m x 4.2m Stratco Pavilion Grande, designed to provide shelter and comfort in a stylish setting.
To ensure both privacy and usability, we incorporated privacy slats, transforming the area into a multifunctional space that offers a perfect balance of comfort and discretion for meetings or break times.
With this new outdoor addition, Laticrete now has a stylish and functional space where employees can enjoy their breaks or gather for meetings in comfort and privacy.
Vanstyn Constructions is proud to have built over 180 metres of covered walkways for the students and families of Christ the King Catholic Primary School in Deception Bay. These walkways, designed with both safety and style in mind, ensure that kids and their families are protected from the elements during their daily school routine.
The walkways feature Stratco single skin Outback Deck, coated on both sides to create a bright, fresh, and inspiring look. Not only do they provide excellent weather protection, but they also contribute to the overall aesthetic appeal of the school grounds.

Vanstyn Constructions was approached by the Head Architect to design a custom shade structure for the hospital’s level 6 Maternity and Oncology Wards. The goal was to create a peaceful outdoor recovery area where patients could relax and enjoy fresh air in a shaded, comfortable environment.
The project presented a unique challenge: every material had to be transported via the hospital lift, limiting the maximum size to just over 4 meters. Our solution? Designing three separate patios that come together to form one large 9.6m x 5.6m shaded area.
This innovative approach allowed us to meet the hospital’s needs while navigating the logistical limitations. The result is a functional, welcoming outdoor space that is now used daily by patients and staff in the Maternity and Oncology Wards.
